Overview / Review--Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Overview:
Finally I watched it today and…I liked it…would be the most underrated comment…since I thoroughly enjoyed this ride. From start till the end…it was the perfect Bollywood, yet quite mature, masala movie. I laughed…experienced new concepts…and of course underwent catharsis…and goto to shed few tears!

iSAY:
Bottom line…I know it’s traditionally supposed to be the last sentence and I just started…but still I just want to clearly state that I liked it and recommend watching it :)

Story:
Now something about the story…do I really need to be a spoiler…I guess no…but still…for that curious one! It’s a story about friendship that yearns to be transformed into that “ishq wala love”. Anushka S. and Ranbir K. are the main protagonists…(that’s what I think at least!). Both performed outstandingly.

Feel:
Now comes the how-I-felt part? It’s an original story that seems to be intelligently borrowed. Since it declaredly imitates Bollywood…so my sixth sense was continuously being marveled…as my head kept proclaiming… ‘see…I knew it…k it's coming…!’ Predicting your film’s emotional flow is not a bad feeling…I enjoyed it…actually loved it. Hope same for all!

Characters:
A little note…somehow…Ranbir continuously reminded of his Rockstar mode. Though it’s okay, since his character got tinted with same shades of those ironic ‘blues’. Plus, Anushka’s character…as we all are now accustomed to…was casual, outspoken, chirpy girl-next-door type. But I must add…she did great justice to keep it quite different from her previous works!

No detailed comments on Aishwarya R., Fawad K., Imran A., Alia B., and Shahrukh K...to me it's not worth writing. Though, I enjoyed Alia's momentary presence :)

Styling:
Something about the styling…Ranbir adopted time-tested mundane casual street-style…which in fact was quite suited for someone studying MBA, while being supported by rich back-home family. On the other hand…Anushka’s styling was an effort to evoke fusion…by reminding all desis of that old-school east meets west funda. It was interesting to see her combo of kameez with ripped genes, topped with a studded leather jacket…and finally adorned by black oxfords. Must say…she really nailed her desi-diffusion-looks.

Music:
Music is good…so far I added the title track and that hippie ‘the breakup song’. I guess for me that’s enough.

Verdict:
Last but not the least, here comes the timing part…mainly for those who feel troubled to stay glued with their seats for 2.5hrs. Guys, beware, it’s a time consuming deal. But is it worth it? Yes…absolutely, paka wala yes! Unarguably we all believe in the absolute truth that…time flies…so why not make its flight worth by watching this adorable super-cool movie…which eventually would sneak its way into your cherishable memories!

So until next time,
Go watch it!
