No Way—the third option!

Like many I have also been grown up hearing the famous well-rhymed, well-versed, well-phrased, well-used, well…it’s ‘my way or the highway…’. But it’s just recently that my three-years old niece taught me that there’s another third option—#noway

So it happened that while playing with me sweetly, she started making mess…wasn’t listening me…so out of frustration I literally told her k, “listen…it’s my way or the highway.” (I really don’t know what mindset was I in…I know that was really rude.) But, instead of shocking her…actually I got backfired by so-very-direct stare…it was literally eye-to-eye…and she very calmly proclaimed… “No Waayy”.

Her firm proclamation took me aback and really sabotaged my delusionary authoritative right.

As expected I gave up…but she also smartly took hold of the situation and cleaned-up her post-color-time-play-mess. But all this while, I underwent all different passing shades of shock, surprise, power, weakness, transparency, and above all, her innocence.

She did nothing out of a plan…as we over-smart-adults pretend to do. All she did was spoke her mind…rather than choosing to be oppressed by my vague superiority. She shunned all her taught-norms…and just said what she felt. Simple!

I really wish that instead of stepping on the kids’ innocence by handing them our wish-list…we should actually simply follow their pure, perfect, and not-so-overly-worked gestures.

I know it’s not a win-win situation…as our worldly temptations always demand us to think…but believe me in doing this small, apparently useless effort, we can actually learn to take care of ourselves, our lives, and surely can make this world a livable place.

Hence, sometimes its better to speak your mind, and say what you think instead of thinking about what others will think. Stop uselessly grinding yourself. Remember we all are born superheroes, the only thing for us is to learn how to wisely use the power of our ‘NO’!

Until next time, practice saying "no" on as-needed basis.

"H!" —> ?

Some words are so simple, yet got so many connotations that just recalling them makes you smile. Same way…is our “hi”—a conversation starter…which perhaps means nothing but got a very wholesome power to portray our all (quite-secretive) emotions.

So today to keep things light, I’ll be just bringing in the lime-light…{TA-DA}…TEN time-tested shades of our favorite…teny-meny…little “hi”.

So sit-back, recall, and try to guess how many ‘Hyes’ have you yet tasted… :)

1. Sweet cute welcoming—> “Hi…how are you…”

2. Formal up-straight—> “HI…sorry AOA Sir…how are you?”

3. Scared wet-cat—> HIreally sorry…just got stuck…again really sorry.”

4. A charged-up questioning—> “H?… “let’s cut it short…tell me where were u…”

5. Why-me-kind, when we really wished to had been invisible, but still got spotted—> “OH-hi…was really looking for you…”

6. a photo-bombed type, when you even don't know that person, but need to talk—> “Hi… Could you please help me…’

7. The aching depressed one—> hey…I'm really trying but it's not working...

8. Yelling inner excitement—> HI…got a great news…”

9. Pouring your heart but not getting across—> “HII…HELLLO…I am talking to you…”

10. When the world suddenly turns upside down—> “that means I’m not accepted…oh sorry…forgot…h!”

P.S. I'm sure there will be probably >50-shades of 'hi'...but these just struck me...enjoy!

So until next time,
Don't forget to say "HI"...

"Move"--a small little, yet important advice

My 1st Observation:

No matter how comfortable the seat is…if you don't move or get…it starts to feel hard and one can eventually sense tingling sour sensation/pain, a very uncomfortable thing on its own...it sometimes even hurts.

My 2nd Observation:

Plus, we all have noticed that the more the content is in a solution, the more we need to shake it to keep it homogeneously scattered. Or else it just settles at the very bottom and the solution loses its taste.

Lesson:

Sorry, for bringing in this kinda scientific analogy. But the point is, the more you are saturated with useful capabilities, the more often you need to move, so all your inner content can stay homogeneously diffused…otherwise it would just stay unused, would eventually get rusted, and then become forgotten.

So take my advice--get up and move. Positioning yourself at one place, or staying still at one destination for so long, will actually lose its perks and can eventually lead to a downward ride.

Hence, moving, changing, or just shaking up a little in your present environment is healthy and vital to rejuvenate your inner energy influx.

So until next time,
Keep moving like these sparkles!

Dear Zindagi—a perfect amalgam of Bollywood & our Sillyhood

What else can be a better option on a Sunday than spending few bucks to learn some valuable life-saving fundays

I know this sentence is a little desiish…but just wanted to transfer a feel-good light-hearted vibe…and that’s exactly what Dear Zindagi is all about :)

It's a story with which probably everyone can relate to and learn from…a perfect amalgam of Bollywood with our Sillyhoods

By now, all know k SRK is portraying the character of Alia Bhatt’s therapist. And I feel only those in-session scenes are worth watching…as the rest of the movie is just supporting the reason why she needs to decipher her emotions.

The acting standard…it’s a no-brainer…both performed great…but at times…Shahrukh appeared to be too driven by his character…I just felt some imbalance of the energies…but guess that’s innate to the story…how can a doctor-patient be at equilibrium? You decide!

There is no take-away for the styling part…as I am not much fan of indie-bohemian diffusion--Alia’s character apparently adores. SRK was casual…laid back…okay! I think…their airy styles might had been more appealing if this was released during hot-sunny-summers.

The songs play the role of background music…but just with words. They just come and the next moment are gone with the wind. I won’t be downloading any!

The final take-away is…go and watch this movie…so we all can be on the same page…as I already learned the ‘kursi funda’, ‘eversest story’, ‘shriveling reasons’, 'sea kbaddi'…and many more. I won’t be explaining any of these, cuz  1) spoiler alert…; 2) you have to understand it in context with the given situation…and more importantly explained in iconic SRK style.

So, Until next time,
Try to love Zindagi.

Overview / Review--Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Overview:
Finally I watched it today and…I liked it…would be the most underrated comment…since I thoroughly enjoyed this ride. From start till the end…it was the perfect Bollywood, yet quite mature, masala movie. I laughed…experienced new concepts…and of course underwent catharsis…and goto to shed few tears!

iSAY:
Bottom line…I know it’s traditionally supposed to be the last sentence and I just started…but still I just want to clearly state that I liked it and recommend watching it :)

Story:
Now something about the story…do I really need to be a spoiler…I guess no…but still…for that curious one! It’s a story about friendship that yearns to be transformed into that “ishq wala love”. Anushka S. and Ranbir K. are the main protagonists…(that’s what I think at least!). Both performed outstandingly.

Feel:
Now comes the how-I-felt part? It’s an original story that seems to be intelligently borrowed. Since it declaredly imitates Bollywood…so my sixth sense was continuously being marveled…as my head kept proclaiming… ‘see…I knew it…k it's coming…!’ Predicting your film’s emotional flow is not a bad feeling…I enjoyed it…actually loved it. Hope same for all!

Characters:
A little note…somehow…Ranbir continuously reminded of his Rockstar mode. Though it’s okay, since his character got tinted with same shades of those ironic ‘blues’. Plus, Anushka’s character…as we all are now accustomed to…was casual, outspoken, chirpy girl-next-door type. But I must add…she did great justice to keep it quite different from her previous works!

No detailed comments on Aishwarya R., Fawad K., Imran A., Alia B., and Shahrukh K...to me it's not worth writing. Though, I enjoyed Alia's momentary presence :)

Styling:
Something about the styling…Ranbir adopted time-tested mundane casual street-style…which in fact was quite suited for someone studying MBA, while being supported by rich back-home family. On the other hand…Anushka’s styling was an effort to evoke fusion…by reminding all desis of that old-school east meets west funda. It was interesting to see her combo of kameez with ripped genes, topped with a studded leather jacket…and finally adorned by black oxfords. Must say…she really nailed her desi-diffusion-looks.

Music:
Music is good…so far I added the title track and that hippie ‘the breakup song’. I guess for me that’s enough.

Verdict:
Last but not the least, here comes the timing part…mainly for those who feel troubled to stay glued with their seats for 2.5hrs. Guys, beware, it’s a time consuming deal. But is it worth it? Yes…absolutely, paka wala yes! Unarguably we all believe in the absolute truth that…time flies…so why not make its flight worth by watching this adorable super-cool movie…which eventually would sneak its way into your cherishable memories!

So until next time,
Go watch it!

What is Passion...???

Passion—a big heavy word…but when thawed is just a simple innate feeling that motivates you to initiate or continue a task. Now, even I sound confusing! But hold on…today I really feel passionate about deciphering this man-made somewhat-mythological concept.

So, let’s start grinding!

Sadly saying, all big-thick-brand-name books promise to help transform this innate feeling into an easily digestible systematic chill-pill. But alas…for many they do nothing more than helping to take some load off of their wallets, as most just end by stating the same mundane redundant statement—passion is an individualistic variable and to find our unique version, we need to dig deeper into ourselves!

I truly understand and appreciate this concept…but the problem is how should I start this big-dig?

Here are three big ticks!

1. Zoned-Out:

To my understanding, passion is doing something so diligently that one just gets alienated from his/her current time and space—zoned-out or spaced-out could be the useable-but-not-so-appropriate terms! Plainly saying…one feels full solely in his/her own self…presence or absence of others gets out of question! You desire the extension of that particular moment to talk to yourself. For example, instead of sitting and sipping…I enjoy to walk and think…thus, I claim myself a walk-passionate.

2. Speedy-Master:

Passion could also be a task that a ‘passionate’ person would accomplish in an acceptable manner, yet in a very short time period as compared to other regular individuals. Plus, instead of feeling tired or exhausted, you feel energetic, excited, and strangely happy. Even after moving a rock, you might want to soothe your back pain with Advil, but the point is you enjoyed the journey…the process. For example, I am really quick at organizing and tidying up, so I am a self-proclaimed cleaning-passionate.

3. Indulging-Moments:

The passion propagation doesn't need an influx of your hours and hours of valuable time. It can be satisfied in a quick, sweet, short lived moment. As the sole requirement is that you get to talk and feel your inside. It might come across as a strange weird confession, but the truth is more than drinking coffee, I enjoy the process of making that old-school beat-up coffee. Somehow, for those two-three prep-minutes I feel free. While continuously starring at the bottom of the cup, I feel indulged. Since I enjoy that moment, and of course its end result is an added bonus…so…I claim myself as a coffee-passionate.

DILEMMA: Passion and Work

I hope you got the concept…but now comes the next big question. Can someone’s passion be his/her work?

Apparently it seems to be an ideal combination…as if one enjoys doing something then why not adept it as work and do it on routine basis. Love, fun, and earnings….a perfect hat trick
But somehow I agree, yet disagree with this perfect win-win situation. I like the part of doing something one enjoys on regular basis, but working on it to have some earnings…is the part that bothers me. You might also agree that whenever, anything gets tinted with money-matters, it just becomes a botheration. The initial spark gets diffused…and we start worrying about our future turnover, instead of enjoying or living in that specific moment—the sole most important pre-requisite of passion.

To experience passion, you have to be doing it and enjoying it, even if you have over million tasks pending on your to-do-list. One can’t be time-constrained, forced, instructed, and worrying about dollar-bills…yet claiming to be working on their passion. It just doesn't make sense to me! Plus, when you are working for money…it means you have to be considerate about others likes and dislikes. Friends…please get it straight…passion is only about your likes and dislikes…the surroundings don't matter!

It’s solely about you…for you…by you!

CAUTION: Passion and Goals

Please keep passion and goals separate. Unarguably they are interlinked, yet, are two well-defined separate entities. Passion is all about the journey…and the goal could be that journey’s destination…which might invigorate another passion and thus consequently another goal. Hence, the cycle of life continues!

It’s okay if your passions change…but it’s not okay if you don't have any passion. Those thick-books are right in phrasing that we all have passions, but the only need is to dig and find that innate unique treasure. Which leads me to my next point that, it’s absolutely okay if your unique passion is another person’s most hated or bizarre experience. After all we are born different…so learn to appreciate those differences.

Seriously I expected this post to be no longer than a paragraph…or hardly two…I don't know from where is this all pouring in…I guess writing is also one of my passions :)

Enough one-way talking from my side…you grab your time-tested supplies, turn-on your Sherlock-Holmes-mode, and start investigated or solidifying on your passion interests.

Until next time,
Stay passionate!
